Frocktober Day 16

Today, my wife and I went to eat burgers by the lake, the best thing you can do in Canberra on a sunny day. The burgers are always worth the wait, and there are always lots of dogs around, which is really good in my books.

Today, I got my second proper sunburn of the year.

From Vinnes in Glebe.

Frocktober Day 15

Today, we sat in a sunny park in Glebe and ate Frosty Fruits and nursed our hangovers. Then we had tasty Mexican, and I almost was convinced to stay in Sydney for good. The sun was shiny and Glebe was noisy and full of people walking their dogs and standing on the pavement, talking. It was lovely.

This frock is from my wife, Claire. It reminds me of ice cream. The guitar (which I am skilfully playing) is Erin's. She sold it for $30 to her friend, a bargain, I think.

Justine also wore a dress.

Frocktober Day 14

Today, I decided to go to Sydney with my friend Ash. Upon crashing a costume party in Glebe with my dear friend (and serious frock lover) Justine, I decided that I would go dressed as Justine, meaning I got to wear one of lovely dresses. We managed to confuse one or two people. Justine went as Justin Bieber. She was the best Bieber at the party. I stole a hoof from a lovely lady who was dressed as Jane Doe.

Frocktober Day 13

This one is from my friend Maddie. Yep. Two Maddies, in Canberra. We have fun. This sort of looks like a disco-army print, which it's not. It's more like a Tetris game. Frocks are better than pants, that's for sure. Tetris pants would be gross. Or awesome.

Frocktober Day 12

Today, I wore my favourite floral frock (my Year 12 Lit teacher would be proud of my alliterative skills). It's from a shop in Carlton. It has been lovely and sunny in Canberra, even if we started the day off with frost. In spring! Imagine! Today, I also received two more donations. I'm pretty stoked about that.

Frocktober 2011 - only 11 days late!

...so far, it's been a pretty busy month for me, so I'm using that as an excuse to not have any frock photos up yet. I promise I'll have updated them all tomorrow.

This year, Frocktober is taking on the nation! All towns and cities big, small, coastal or inland - are encouraged to get involved. From Bundaberg to Karratha… from Katherine to Adelaide… Frocktober wants people from all over this big wide continent to frock up in 2011! Frocktober has already raised just over $40, 000 this year, so let's keeping our frockin' efforts going.
